Carinne Geil Botta is an educator, scientist, and writer who has taught at universities, non-profits, and start-ups, has 4 years of research experience, and writes essays and health-related pieces for the likes of Business Insider. She co-founded 8.8 Advising where she is an editor, mentor, and advocate for global education parity. With degrees from UNC Chapel Hill and NC State, Carinne will be starting her PhD in 2025, studying nutrition and health effects of ultra-processed foods.In her free time, Carinne is a marathoner and a frequent international traveler, having visited 20+ countries and counting.Carinne is based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
